    Been Gone Too Long

Friday, May 15, 2009, 09:05 AM PST [General]

I can't believe how long it has been since my last entry. I have been busy with getting ready for the new class I am taking from Cathy Zeilske on Big Picture Scrapping. It is called "Everyone Can Write a Little. I should finish an album made from comments on Twitter or Facebook.  Being a novice with both, I have been setting up accounts and trying to figure out how to move around and connect. Quite the experience. Not at all like a blog. So this is where I spent the day yesterday, the first day of the class, and most of the last month. I am hoping to finish this four week class with an album and more importantly, an understanding of how my two new cyber spaces operate. I don't have a cell phone just my 'puter but spend much time here in the studio so this could be fun and I have found a few old friends. This will be interesting and a challenge.

    A Quick Page

Friday, April 24, 2009, 02:49 PM PST [Scrapping]

I just made a page with a "quick page".  This isn't like a template where you pick the papers and embellishments etc., and the layout design is the template. A quick page is all designed for you and you just add the pictures. I did tweak it a bit by adding two more pictures to the lower left and a bit of journaling. I was in a bit of a hurry to get it made for the birthday boy and had this adorable freebie from Vera Limm Designs. Cody just turned three and he seems to change so much for week to week. He is trying to read and knows all of his letters and numbers. Jon and I bought books for him, but he was much more interested in the baloons than the gifts.

Hi! Great to hear from you!! My friend also did a "Monkey & Me" and a "Bull & Me" book for her grandsons. They got the baby a stuffed animal that fit their personality and took pictures of the baby with the animal. One picture @ the same time every month for a year. It was really neat to see how much the baby grew. I had never seen one of those but it was really neat. Your friend might want to do that one. :)
